Here is my newest design. It is called Off and On and is available on Ravelry.
It uses 1 skein of Sunshine Yarns Classic Sock and uses texture to form stripes. The stripes switch back and forth on either side so the knitting is easy but not boring.
It is a good size at 52" x 22". This one satisfied my need for stripes without making it too busy.
I got a pattern done in my big blog hiatus that I really love. It is Iora. It is a 3/4 square and wears so well.
It is almost like a vest one you have it on and the best part about it is in the back there is no point. It is straight across. It has beads in the lace edging which adds a little sparkle and a little weight.
The yellow one I knit out of handspun and the fuchsia one is out of Dream in Color Baby. It only uses one skein of the Baby.
I am going to try to be better about posting so we will start with what I have finished since then.
I knit a top down raglan striped sweater. I loosely based the stripes on Tempest and just winged it from there. It fits great and the subtle striping works for me. Not too Rugby style. Next up another top down sweater.
Here is my latest pattern! It is a cowl that has a slightly asymmetrical ripple to it. The purl rows help to really show it off. This pattern would be great worked in any hand dyed yarn or even a great handspun. It only takes 225 yards so one skein of DK should work! The pattern is for sale here!
